🎁 One Box or Two? The Great Gift Debate

When a holiday falls on a birthday, the first thing a person wants to know about gifts.

Typically, if a person’s birthday is on a holiday like Christmas, they receive one or two gifts from loved ones.

Honestly, it all comes down to what a person can afford.

I think one of the reasons people worry about the number of gifts when it falls on a holiday is Christmas.

The dilemma is the thought process someone has when receiving a gift.  For instance, a person could think:

Did this person only give me this gift because it’s Christmas?

Would they give me this gift if my birthday wasn’t on a holiday that is all about gift giving?

Honestly, it all comes down to learning how to not compare your birthday to a holiday.  It’s like a mindset shift on realizing the importance of celebrating life.

🍰 All the Treats and the Double the Fun

Have fun with the people that make you feel special.  Typically, people who celebrate their birthday during the holidays throughout the year are in a party mood.

Here are a few things you can do:

  • Rent out a space at your favorite restaurant.
  • Personal chef with friends.
  • Movie night
  • Small house party
  • Scavenger Hunt

There are a ton of things you can do on a birthday and holiday.

The Struggles of Sharing a Holiday

One of the worst feelings is having your birthday messages buried under the holiday messages.

Only if you allow it too.

However, it is the perfect excuse to treat yourself.  For instance, if you are the type of person who eats healthily consistently, you may decide to treat yourself to a tasty dessert or fast food.

And the best part is, on some of the holidays, people are off from work or from school.
